Emily Portney is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Barclays International, based in New York. She is a member of the Barclays International Executive Committee and Barclays’ Finance Management Committee.
Emily joined Barclays in September 2016 from Visa where she was the CFO of North America. Prior to Visa, Emily spent 22 years at JP Morgan where she was the Global Head of Clearing and Collateral Management, a brokerage unit that provided agency execution, clearing, and collateral management services across derivatives and securities markets worldwide. She started with JP Morgan in New York in 1993, and performed various roles over the course of her career. These include being the CFO of Equities and Prime Services where she was responsible for the financial, control, and strategic agenda of the business.
Emily holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA from Duke University.
